The Heritage of Paradise

Kertha Gosa is situated in the heart of Semarapura, Klungkung Regency. Kerta Gosa is a courthouse complex inherited from the Semarapura Palace (1686–1908) that was still operational during Dutch colonial rule (1908–1942).

The complex consists of two main buildings: the Bale Kerta Gosa, where the king and his ministers held meetings and trials, and the Bale Kambang, a floating pavilion surrounded by a lotus pond, where the king and his family relaxed and entertained guests.
